Coalman’s Blog – He Lives.
February 28th, 2010
First thing this morning I saw our resident lawn chipmunk up from a long winter nap. Our usual routine is to put a pile of sunflower seeds outside the den. This chippy is a survivor. We have stray cats sit for hours in front of the hole during the summer looking to pick the chippy off. He lives…..

Today’s Photograph…. Mountain Lion Attack at Cabelas (MQ) Bible Study Verse Thoughts Now understand I drive a pretty unassuming vehicle. As a matter of fact, it is downright unintimidating. This is probably why the lion could have cared less that I was there. He figured he could take me. I thought to myself, "Wow! It is rare to see a mountain lion. Let alone a mountain lion with an attitude." It wasn’t until I actually got out of my car that he suddenly appeared startled. He looked at me, looked at my vehicle (which he had at least a hundred pounds on), looked at me again, and then trotted back in the direction from which he came. Action Point David says that God is our "shield"; a shield that protects us from our enemies. In a world filled with evil, we must pray daily that God will protect us and our families. We must be diligent in protecting our children. That means talking to them every day, being involved in their school and their friends, most importantly being a parent first, and then a friend second. To do otherwise would be like letting them fly through life on a high speed motorcycle without a helmet. It is not a matter of "if", but "when". Sportsmen’s Tip of the Day

I am currently shooting 160 grain accubonds for my 7mm rem mag and getting about 1-1.5" groups. I was going through my cabinet and found 140 grain soft points and i was getting 0.5-1" groups with these. I am in the middle of purchasing a 300. wsm. What my question is, what grain bullets should i be shooting. The 7mm rem mag is mainly used for big game but now i am going to be dropping it to my open field and medium size rifle. I will mainly use it on whitetail, mule, and pronghorn with the odd coyote, ground hog, pig. The 300.wsm will replace my 7mm for big game and will be taking Moose, Black bear, and caribou. Im thinking 140 grain bullets for the 7mm and 180 grain for the 300. wsm. But i read people have better accuracy with the 150 grains in the 7mm. What bullets do you think i should you and what do you shoot?

The Nor’acane, the new name for the powerful Nor’easter that hit coastal NH Thursday that caused so much damage got my curiosity up so Bay and I took a road trip to camp Saturday morning. The devastation along Rte 125 in Epping was very evident. But as we proceeded north past Rochester you had to look close to see any sign of wind… Feb 2010

The truck that is known as Hummer will no longer exist, the deal fell through with the Chinese company who was interested in buying it. Another GM division going down the drain.

Target Alpha Burner
February 28th, 2010
I have a 2010 Orange Alpha Burner. It’s a 50-60 lb bow. It is a 30" draw. The bow has spiral X cams which means it’s non-adjustable. It comes with side plates not the full wood hoyt grip. It is a shooter. I just have too many bows and I’m not using it so thought I’d put it up for sale. Sorry but I’m not interested in any trades unless it’s for a Carbon MATRIX. (I’m sure that ain’t gonna happen). Bow still has the factory fuse strings on it. $875.00 TYD with insurance and tracking. Price is bare bow. Please don’t waste your time or mine with low ball offers. I don’t need to or have to sell it.
I can email photos. |
