My buddy was shooting rifled slugs out of his short barreled tactical mossberg(not sure of barrel length but, it’s short) all day yesterday and was pretty much dead on. He only missed a few times but, was seeing where they hit the ground. The cops show up and asked them if they’d been shooting and then the cops told them that one of the slugs went thru the neighbors window. It didn’t mushroom or anything. Simply, went thru the window and stopped. It was laying on the floor untouched right below the window. The house is probably close to 600 yards away from where they were shooting and it’s prob. a sharp 45 degree angle from where they were aiming. The slug had to pass thru some pretty thick stuff before it would even reach the house. When we shoot there we’re always cautious and behind us where we aim all the time there’s nothing.

Thanks god no one was hurt or worse and good thing they know the neighbor.

What in the world would have made that slug go all crazy like that? Anybody had this happen to them before? Any and all suggestions on what could’ve have caused this is appreciated. Thanks.

Who has one and whats your thoughts on them? Thinking about getting one in .223 for some predator/varmint hunting.

Is there a website or something that tell how to tell how old guns are by the serial numbers?

For example, I just bought a Winchester 94 AE and would like to find out the age of it.

If most of you guys are like me you are in and out of gun shops all the time. In your wonderings if you happen to see a Tikka T3 Stainless Varmint in 223, I would really appreciate a heads up. Would be willing to drive a ways to pick one up. These are no longer offered in stainless so its gonna be the used market. Any help will be appreciated. Mark
